2017 CAPITAL WORKS PROJECT OPEN HOUSE – 30TH STREET (30TH AVENUE to 34TH AVENUE)
The City of Vernon is hosting an open house to review upcoming capital works planned for construction adjacent to your home or business this year. The meeting will be held at the Vernon Recreation Centre Auditorium (3310 – 37th Avenue), May 3, 2017, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. You are encouraged to drop by anytime between 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. to meet the project team, review the proposed works and discuss important issues such as timing of construction, road closures and access to your home or business while construction takes place.
Note that this will be the second open house held for this particular project. If you previously provided comments and haven’t yet been contacted by a member of the project team, you can expect them to follow up prior to construction. Feedback from residences and business is an important step in the project and we encourage all people to contact the project team as soon as possible for project information.
Vernon’s capital works program includes a variety of projects necessary to replace our aging infrastructure and provide enhanced service for the community. Details regarding the city’s capital works program can be found in the financial plan at https://www.vernon.ca/government-services/bylaws/financial-plan-bylaw-5613-2017-2021 and the city’s capital works web page at http://www.vernon.ca/capitalworks.
