The Downtown Vernon Association has the following full-time position available and is accepting applications now until September 20, 2017.
The Downtown Vernon Association (DVA) is seeking to recruit an Office Administrator. The successful candidate will be responsible for bookkeeping, will assist the DVA staff with reception and general office duties, will assist with public relations and event coordination and set-up, provide administrative assistance as required, and will assist with member communications.
Required Qualifications, Education & Experience include: • 2+ years’ experience with A/P, A/R, bank & G/L reconciliations (Bookkeeping skills) • Proven business writing skills • Ability to meet tight deadlines • Current, valid driver’s license • High level of computer skill using Word, Excel, PowerPoint & accounting software • Physically capable of lifting and/or carrying etc. up to 25 pounds

This position will begin at 35 hours per week with the possibility of increasing to 40 hours. Our regular business hours are 8:30 am – 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday. Weekend and evening work may be required occasionally. The position will start as soon as possible with the minimum wage of $18/hour based on experience and present skills. Parking is provided. As the position is full-time, extended health benefits are available after 3 months.
